1. Information we collect

file clean does not collect personal data.

The app does not operate a user account system or backend service and does not include advertising, analytics, behavioral tracking, or telemetry SDKs.

2. Photos and metadata

When you choose photos, file clean accesses only the files you select so it can inspect them for privacy-sensitive metadata such as location, device information, dates, owner information, serial information, comments, and other supported metadata.

Scanning and cleaning are performed locally by the app. file clean does not upload your selected photos or their metadata to a file clean server or cloud service.

3. Cleaned copies

file clean preserves your original photo and creates a separate cleaned copy when cleaning is requested.

• Temporary cleaned and share-ready working copies may be stored in the app's app-private cache while you use the app.
• If you choose Save to device, the verified cleaned copy is saved to Pictures/file clean/ on supported Android devices.
• If you choose Share, file clean creates and verifies an app-private share snapshot, then grants temporary read access to the recipient app through Android FileProvider. Android's system sharing interface lets you choose the destination.

After you share a photo, the recipient app or service controls how that shared copy is handled. Saved photos remain on your device until you delete them.

4. Network access and external links

The release version of file clean does not require general Internet access for its photo scanning and cleaning features.

The app may offer an external Donate link. If you choose it, Android opens the PayPal website in your browser. Once you leave file clean, the destination site's own terms and privacy policy apply. file clean does not receive payment details or browsing information from PayPal.

5. Data sharing and selling

Because file clean does not collect personal data, it does not sell personal data and does not share collected personal data with advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or other third parties.

6. Data retention and deletion

file clean does not retain user data on external servers. Temporary app-private working files may remain in local app cache until they are removed by file clean, the operating system, when the app's storage is cleared, or when the app is uninstalled.

Cleaned photos that you explicitly save to your device remain there until you delete them.

7. Children's privacy

file clean does not knowingly collect personal information from children or adults. The app's privacy model is based on local processing without user accounts, advertising, analytics, or tracking.

8. Google Play and your device

Your operating system, app store, browser, or a service you independently choose for sharing may process information under its own privacy policy. Those services are separate from file clean and are not controlled by file clean.

9. Changes to this policy

If file clean's data practices or features change, this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect those changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will also be revised.
